Cycling

The "Livericher Altrhein Schlinge" is one of the most important nature reserves in the region. Cycling or walking along these wonderfully developed paths will create a wonderful feeling of well-being and relaxation. In the eleven mile stretch between Buederich Meerbuscher in the south and Nierst in the north, you will find one of the most beautiful sections of the banks on the lower Rhine. The catchment area of the old "Rheinarm" offers a rich display of flora and fauna. The wetlands in the former course of the river together with the agricultural land form a harmonious unity. These areas can be explored on foot, by bicycle or on roller skates.
